Not only does this recipe make the most delicious smoothie in the entire world, it's also the prettiest. The greenness made it feel even healthier! And thanks to the pumpkin and dates and cashews in the mylk, it's loaded with fiber, protein, and healthy fats that will keep you more than full until lunch.
Since it's starting to feel like winter outside, I decided to pair this smoothie bowl with hot tea. Bite of smoothie bowl, sip of tea, bite of smoothie bowl, sip of tea. This routine is going to allow me to eat smoothie bowls all winter long!
To make your own, blend together:
- 8oz of nutty life pumpkin pie cashew milk
- 1/2-1 cups of spinach (fresh or frozen is fine -- we used frozen)
- 1 banana (again, fresh or frozen is fine -- and we used frozen)
- optional: add a dash of chia seeds, hemp seeds, flax seeds, maca powder, or spirulina to make it even healthier!
Then!! (my favorite part), sprinkle it with delicious & nutritious toppings. We used shredded coconut, White Lion Baking original granola, and chia seeds. Other awesome toppings: fresh berries, goji berries, mulberries, cacao nibs, hemp seeds, flax seeds, peanut butter, almond butter, pumpkin seeds, and many more!
I hope you enjoy this smoothie bowl just as much as I do!!!
Make sure you stop by The Local Fare to get your bottle of pumpkin pie cashew milk! It's located at 2 Lake Street Arlington MA 02474. There is plenty of parking on Mass Ave (and it's right at the corner of Lake & Mass Ave). Open M-F 3-7pm & Saturday and Sunday 11am-7pm. Pumpkin pie is available exclusively at The Local Fare!
